Intergenerational camps and retreats

Time together for families of all kinds

  • Work Weekends

    May 3 - 5, 2024

Work Weekends are a great opportunity for community members new and old to spend time together at camp while bettering our beloved facilities. Some find the shared work deeply satisfying. If you are a long-time Unirondacker, work weekends are a pleasurable way to reconnect. If you have never been to camp before, Work Weekends are a relaxed and casual way to make new friends and get to know Unirondack.

  • Roots and Wings

    May 17-19, 2024

Unirondack is excited to unveil "Roots and Wings," our very first BIPOC Retreat—a vibrant celebration crafted with and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. This weekend promises an enriching blend of joy, learning, and community for anyone 12 and older, creating a welcoming space to dive deep into our rich identities and shared experiences.

  • Family & Friends Weekend

    May 24 - 26th, 2024

Friends & Family weekend is one of the best introductions to Unirondack you can get. Get a taste for the staff, the facilities, and of course, the food. The Adirondacks are especially beautiful in the spring and weather permitting, we’ll enjoy nearby hiking, kayaking, canoeing, stargazing and campfires. All are welcome including families, couples, singles, college students, and Unirondack staff alumni. This weekend is a great way to experience Unirondack for the first time, to see old friends again and to make new friends.

  • Family Camp

    Aug 19 - 24, 2024

Family Camp is an intergenerational summer week that is open to all families and friends of Unirondack.

The warm, welcoming atmosphere of Family Camp creates a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to explore and play together. Whether canoeing on Beaver Lake, hiking in the woods, lounging in our lodge, communing at our campfire circle, or enjoying delicious meals together, this week offers a chance to spend time with family members and to make new friends. In addition to the programming offered by our special guests, our Summer staff will offer children and adults an array of workshops and activities.

  • Member’s Weekend & Annual Meeting

    Friday, October 11 – Monday, October 14, 2024 (Indigenous People’s Day Weekend)

    AGES: Families of all ages!

We will usher in the fall with activities such as hiking, canoeing and kayaking and will enjoy good food, conversation, music, games, discussion, campfires and the warmth of the lodge fireplace. Bring stories, games, musical instruments, and photos and memories of camp. This will also be a time to share your ideas and visions for Unirondack with our directors, board members and fellow Unirondack members and to participate and vote in our Annual Meeting on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
