Intergenerational Programs and Retreats

Summer camp silliness and fun, for all ages!

One thing that has been a fixture at Unirondack since the beginning is our love of all-ages programs, where family units of all kinds and people from all walks of life can gather up to be in nature, share fun experiences, and make good camp together. These intergenerational programs and retreats are the ideal opportunity for newcomers to get a feel for what Unirondack’s community has to offer, or for established lovers of Unirondack to reconnect with old friends and reminisce.

Pricing:
All programs have a sliding scale price model, and there’s no difference in the accommodations of the price points. We recognize that the attendees for our adult programs range from those who have just graduated from high school to those who have been working with a salary for many years. So, please choose the price point that you're able, and email us with any questions you might have. Those who select the Supporter option help to offset the cost for those who need the Discounted option.

Deadline:
Please, remember to register at least one week before the event. Registration will automatically close one week prior to arrival, so reach out directly to the managers if you need to register late. Registering less than one week before the event will incur a $25 late fee on top of your chosen price tier.

Work Weekends and Work Weeks are a great opportunity for community members new and old to spend time together at camp while bettering our beloved facilities. Some find the shared work deeply satisfying. If you are a long-time Unirondacker, work weekends are a pleasurable way to reconnect. If you have never been to camp before, Work Week(end)s are a relaxed and casual way to make new friends and get to know Unirondack.

  • Family & Friends Weekend

    May 22 - 25, 2026

Friends & Family weekend is one of the best introductions to Unirondack you can get. Get a taste for the staff, the facilities, and of course, the food. The Adirondacks are especially beautiful in the spring and weather permitting, we’ll enjoy nearby hiking, kayaking, canoeing, stargazing and campfires. All are welcome including families, couples, singles, college students, and Unirondack staff alumni. This weekend is a great way to experience Unirondack for the first time, to see old friends again and to make new friends.

  • Family Camp

The warm, welcoming atmosphere of Family Camp creates a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to explore and play together. Whether canoeing on Beaver Lake, hiking in the woods, lounging in our lodge, communing at our campfire circle, or enjoying delicious meals together, this week offers a chance to spend time with family members and to make new friends. In addition to the programming offered by our special guests, our Summer staff will offer children and adults an array of workshops and activities.
