2024 COVID Policy Statement

When writing these policies we want to recognize a seemingly contradicting reality: The scope and danger of the COVID is very different than it was one year ago. Simultaneously, even if COVID is less overtly dangerous, Unirondack’s operations will be greatly impacted if an outbreak were to occur. For this reason, preventing an outbreak at camp is every bit as important in 2024 as in prior years. Please be safe in the weeks leading up to camp and check for symptoms and illness before arrival.

Summer 2024 COVID Policies

Vaccination:
Unirondack strongly suggests vaccination of all campers, however, is not currently requiring proof of vaccination. Before arrival, campers will be expected to demonstrate a negative COVID test within 24 hours of arrival, or will be required to take a rapid test on arrival.

Testing:
Unirondack requires an at-home COVID test before arrival to camp.

Any camper presenting symptoms will be tested using an antigen test on camp.

Please note that if you have a positive test result we will have to coordinate an immediate departure from camp. We do not have adequate means to quarantine and care for someone with a positive test result.

Staff will be tested regularly.

Refunds

If your camper tests positive for COVID prior to camp and is unable to attend, we will refund your fees!

For summer youth campers, a tuition protection plan may be purchased through CampDoc.com for any other cancellation insurance.
