About Trip Camp:
Wilderness Adventure Trips are an exciting extension of the Unirondack experience. For enthusiastic or aspiring outdoors people, they provide a chance to enjoy the Adirondack wilderness while benefiting from the stimulation, safety and warmth of the Unirondack community. The trips are week long and take campers into the Adirondack park to canoe, hike, and camp. They return with unforgettable memories and a new appreciation of the natural world. Trip camps are limited to 6 campers, so please register early.

Our trip leader, Tegan Kehoe, has been a Unirondack staff member since 2006, and a co-leader on our trip camps. She is certified as an American Red Cross lifeguard and as a Wilderness First Responder.

Oswegatchie River Adventure for Young Adults:
June 5 – 11
(for ages 18-22)

If you were once a Unirondack camper, or if you just love the outdoors, this week is for you! The trip will be fun and rewarding for a variety of skill levels: the Oswegatchie River's twists and turns provide a canoe-steering challenge, but the current is generally mild and the paddling is easy to moderate. We'll also take a gentle hike up Cat Mountain for a great view and a picnic lunch. A week in the Adirondacks with other young adults is a wonderful chance to reflect and grow.

Stillwater Reservoir Family Adventure:
July 4 – 10
(Intergenerational Canoe Camping for Families of All Kinds—
for ages 11 and up)

Spend time with your family in a setting you've never experienced before, or come alone to enjoy the company of all ages on this canoeing adventure. The Stillwater trip begins with a paddle across a wide-open, often not-so-still expanse of water, but once we get to the campsites, the scenery changes to quiet coves and forest. Each day will include swimming, hiking, canoeing, and more. Evenings will consist of making dinner together, talking, telling stories, sing-a-longs, stargazing and resting from a full day of activity.

Cranberry Lake Teen Adventure:
August 15 – 21
(for ages 13-17)

Wilderness Adventures are an exciting extension of the Unirondack experience—spending time with a small group of peers and experiencing nature. Cranberry Lake is one of the Adirondack Park's largest lakes, and includes islands, peninsulas, open water, narrow channels, sandy beaches, and woodsy trails. You'll canoe and/or hike each day through spectacular scenery, camping out each night. Your trip will start and end at Unirondack, where you'll prepare for the trip on Sunday and take a welcome hot shower on Friday before joining Family Camp for our end-of-week banquet, campfire and special contra dance.
