We are happy to announce that our Board of Directors has officially kicked off a major fund drive to develop a foundation to “Secure the Legacy” for Unirondack. Our goal? One Million Dollars!

As many of you know, camp operates on a very small budget and often lives hand to mouth. We have been blessed with the opportunity to make some major improvements recently but they do not come close to meeting the long list of critical needs of the facilities and the overall organization needs. To do this, and to be sure that camp is here for future generations, we need to raise one million dollars.

We have had the opportunity to lay some strong ground work for this campaign by forming a fundraising team and meeting with our wonderful consultant Julian Palmer, but now it is up to you! We need people to get involved in many ways including helping us reach out to potential donors, and of course writing us checks as you are able.

We would also like to take this moment to thank the staff of the 1980s, who recently kicked off our campaign with a generous financial gift in the form of a $50,000 matching grant to be known as “The Staff of the 1980’s Challenge Grant”. Already other generations of staff have banded together to think of ways they can collaborate and donate or raise funds together. We have even heard that some people are making donations as holiday gifts for one another.

We hope that as you think about what camp has meant to you, you also consider making a donation and ensuring that Unirondack is there for future generations.
